DancEtc Company Information

If you have had at least one year of dance training and are interested in more information about our Competition Season please call as we audition our dancers over the summer, and don't want you to miss out on the opportunity to be a part of our Award Winning Company!

If your child is looking for the next step in furthering their dancing career then competing may be the right choice for your family. DancEtc has been competing now for 10 years. We have built quite an extensive reputation for ourselves through our numerous overall scoring awards, titles both at regional and national level, and choreography awards! Along with competitions the studio also participates in numerous dance conventions throughout the year. Between performance opportunities, team comrodery, discipline, laughs, and connections shared with one another and industry professionals, being apart of the DancEtc Company is a hard opportunity to pass up! DancEtc has three different companies. The Green Team, Blue Team, and Orange Team. They will all be held to the same code of conduct however the requirements are more demanding depending on the color. The reason for this is to be able to have a company for the majority of families that want to compete but not have every weekend or every penny tied into it. Whereas there are also those dancers that want nothing more then to dance as much as possible and have a huge commitment. All Company dancers will audition and have set requirements as for competitions, rehearsals, and conventions.

Requirements for the following Teams

Orange Team

This team will practice for 45 minutes during the week on their assigned day. This is a great opportunity for tap students just wanting to compete in tap not requiring too much extra time and extra classes.

Must take one tap technique class
Commitment to attend two regional competitions & one Nationals
Participate in the Christmas Parade
Pruchase a team uniform
Audtion
Minium of 3 ticks sold for the Showcase
Required to sell 1/2 page ad for Student Concert Program book per dancer

Blue Team

This team is for the dancer looking to goto the next level. Blue team will practice on an assigned week day for one hour.

Must take one ballet class and jumps/turns class per week
Commit to attend two regional completions and one Nationals
Particpate in the Christmas Parade
Must purchase a company uniform unless you already own the current one
Audtion
Only permitted 3 excused absences per year all of which must be made up either in the appropriate class or with a private lesson. (Applies to required classes)
1 in- studio convention must be attended or if non are schedule must attend one out of studio convention
Minimum of 3 tickets must be sold for the Showcase per dancer
Required to sell 1/2 page ad for Student Concert Program per dancer

Green Team

This team is for the very committed dancer. A lot of practice and time is required. Green team will practice on an assigned day of the week one hour and 20 mins.

Must take one ballet, jumps/turns, & cardio class per week
Commitment to attend three regional competitions and one Nationals
Must participate in one in studio workshop if scheduled.
Must participate in the Christmas parade
Only permitted three excused absences per year all of which must be made up in the in the appropriate class or with a private lesson (applies to required classes)
A set amount of hours will be set required by the end of the month for rehearsal time - This is MANDATORY ans will result in not being permitted to compete if not accomplished. (Regular Thursday rehearsals will not be included in this)
Purchase team uniform if you don't have the current one
Attend one conventions out side the studio
Audtion
Summer Requirements must be met:

8 hours of ballet
8 hours of jazz or lyrical (if auditioning for that team)
8 hours of tap (if auditioning for that team)

Solos, Duets, Trios

So many students want to perform solos, duets, or trios and DancEtc promotes this opportunity 100%. However in order to be awarded this opportunity, dancers must meet a few requirements first. Parents please note that this is just as much a dedication on your part as it is on the dancers. This will more then likely add to your length of time at a competition resulting in hotel and extra meals. Ultimately the decision is bases on the dancers ability to work hard in classes and be a role model for DancEtc! Teachers recommend your child for a solo, duet, or trio. Any dancer having a solo, duet, or trio must be on one team.

Fees

Orange Team:

$30 per month due by the 10th of each month.

Blue Team:

1st team - $32

2nd team - $ 30

3rd team - $ 29

All fees are per month due by the 10th

Also responsible for choreography fees to be split by all members not to be over $50 per dancer.

Green Team:

1st team - $33

2nd team - $ 32
