40 minutes of ballet
This is an introduction to ballet incorporating basic terminology with the positions of the feet, hands and body. Class incorporates the fundamentals of ballet movement for the pre-school level dancer. Individualized attention to our youngest dancers is given as they learn beginning terminology & steps. While enjoying dance class, students are learning to work on basic motor skills including running, skipping, hopping, leaping & jumping. Students will begin to learn single & double sounds with an emphasis on musicality and music awareness while learning rhythms and enhancing their fine motor skills. This class develops not only movement, flexibility and balance, but also individuality & peer group skills.Petite Jazz/Tumbling (2-3 Years)
20 minutes of Jazz and 20 minutes of tumbling
This class combines Pre-Jazz with an introduction to Tumbling (somersaults, rolls, jumps, etc.). As students practice, they increase balance, coordination, and grace.

Mini Jazz/Tumbling (4-5 Years)
30 minutes of jazz, and 30 minutes of tumbling
Jazz/Tumbling combines Jazz with beginning level Acrobatics (cartwheels, handstands, bridges, etc.). Students develop poise, agility, balance, and confidence
Rhythm, energy and fun describes jazz dance! This class offers a blend of ballet and modern vocabulary fused with today's hottest music. Dancers will love coming to class and seeing improvement not only in their dancing ability, but also in their self-confidence.
Mini Ballet/Tap (4-5 Years)
30 minutes of ballet, and 30 minutes of tap
This is a combination class including ballet and tap technique. Basic rhythm and tap choreography, as well as the foundations of ballet, will be taught. Introduction to ballet & tap in a structured but friendly, music-filled class. A variety of age-appropriate music is used to make this class fun and educational! Students will learn ballet & tap terminology, use of barre, warm up exercises, combinations and many routines to ballet & tap music geared for young children. A great class to help young children further develop motor skills, flexibility, coordination and confidence as well as make new friends.
Primary Ballet/Jazz (6-8 Years)
30 minutes of ballet, and 30 minutes of Jazz
This is a combination class including ballet and jazz technique. Elements of beginning jazz, such as isolations, proper terminology, stretching and basic jazz steps are taught. Ballet provides the dancer with training for the body to build strength, balance, and flexibility while working on turnout and over all understanding of body mechanics.
Primary Tap (6-8 Years)
45 minutes of Tap
Tap emphasizes footwork and the expression of rhythm through sound. The exercises presented develop endurance, coordination, and body control as well as development of feet sense and rhythm. Classes consist of technique and short combos.
Primary Hip Hop (6-8 Years)
45 minutes of Hip Hop
Primary Hip Hop classes are designed for entry-level students with no prior experience. In this class students will learn the foundations needed to progress in all levels of our program. Class structure, standards, and key steps to progress to the next level will be taught in a fun enthusiastic atmosphere.
Primary Tumbling (6-8 Years)
45 minutes of Tumbling
Introductory acrobatic and tumbling class which teaches the basic progressions needed to obtain more advanced acrobatic and tumbling skills.
Ballet Junior & Above
1 hour minimum
Ballet Technique classes (for students age 8 and up) are the foundation for training focusing on developing a solid ballet technique with emphasis on understanding correct body placement, proper use of turn out, coordination of the upper body (epaulement), and use of arms (port de bras). Class begins with work at the barre to build strength and coordination, followed by center exercises, culminating in a grand allegro combination or variation. Clear explanations of exercises and theory help students use the ballet vocabulary in a simple, practical way that leads to increased technical understanding, healthy physical development, and lifelong enjoyment.
Jazz Junior & Above
1 hour minimum
Jazz is a dance form that appeals to everyone because of its energy, variety, and vitality. Jazz Dance classes explore contemporary and classic jazz dance, rooted in the vernacular (social dance) forms, that draws inspiration from a wide range of music. Classes begin with a warm-up to develop strength, flexibility, correct alignment and coordination, followed by progressions across the floor, and culminates in extended dance combinations. The movement explores a range of styles in both lyrical and percussive disciplines with a focus on jazz elements such as isolations, swing, and rhythm. The goal is to develop dancers who are expressive, dynamic, musical and passionate.
Tap Junior & Above
1 hour minimum
Tap Dance is a timeless art that combines dance and percussion. Class begins with warm up exercises in the center that increase control, coordination, and rhythm, followed by across the floor exercises that teach dynamics, shading, phrasing, and musicality, concluding with extended rhythmic phrases and improvisation exercises. The goal is to develop tap dancers that are equally strong musicians, dancers, and performers.
Hip Hop 1 hour minimum
Hip Hop helps dancers develop body coordination, self expression, and cardiovascular health. Drawing from popular urban culture and music, Hip Hop is a great class for both beginner and experienced dancers. Hip Hop classes are very energetic and full of self expression.
Tumbling
1 hour minimum
Tumbling class utilizes the artistic use of acrobatic and tumbling skills combined with dance and usually performed to music. It accentuates the acrobatic and gymnastic skills in a more spectacular and rhythmic manner which is pleasing to the audience.
Lyrical/Contemporary
1 hour minimum
This class blends the sustained controlled movement of ballet with freedom, power, and dynamics of jazz and modern dance. Lyrical is a fusion of ballet and jazz, with expressive motions that tell a story. Students will learn lyrical technique along with how to express emotion through movement.
